What we collect

Your name, email address and password (stored only as a bcrypt hash). Optionally a phone number, city, profile photograph and approximate location if you choose to share it for distance search. For each harvest delivery, the address you provide for that delivery.

What we collect from farmers

Farm details, years of experience, a biography shown to adopters, and a KYC document type with a reference. We deliberately do not store full government identity numbers.

What we do not collect

Card numbers or payment credentials — these go directly to the payment provider. We do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell personal data.

Why we hold it

To run your account, show you your trees, let farmers fulfil your requests, deliver your harvest, and meet financial record-keeping obligations.

Location

Location is requested only when you press the button that uses it, and is used to sort trees by distance. It is not stored unless you save it to your profile.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is open. Financial records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. Audit records of security-relevant actions are retained separately.

Your rights

You can request an export of your data or its deletion by writing to privacy@adotree.com. Deletion removes personal data except where a legal obligation requires a financial record to be retained.

Third parties

We use a payment provider, an email provider, a weather data provider and object storage for images. Each receives only the data needed for its function.
